1) Purpose & Scope
BudaBestLife.com is an educational, community-driven platform for expats, digital nomads, and long‑stayers in Hungary. These Standards govern all users, Listings, Requests, comments, messages, and media posted or shared on the site. Using the site means you agree to follow these rules in addition to our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Disclaimer.
2) Definitions
- Listing: a user‑posted offer or notice (e.g., housing, services, events, buy/sell).
- Request: a user‑posted need or inquiry (e.g., “housing wanted,” “relocation help”).
- UGC (User‑Generated Content): any content uploaded by users—text, images, audio/video, links, and messages.
3) Allowed Categories (What You Can Post)
- Housing & Accommodation: short‑term rentals, flatshares, sublets, long‑term leases (must comply with law).
- Services: legal services such as language tutoring, relocation assistance, cultural tours, coworking offers.
- Events & Activities: meetups, workshops, cultural events, networking opportunities.
- Buy/Sell/Exchange: legal goods like furniture, home goods, electronics, books.
4) Prohibited Content (What You Cannot Post)
- Illegal/unsafe/restricted goods or services (e.g., drugs, weapons, stolen/counterfeit items, or any service violating Hungarian or EU law).
- Adult/sexual services, pornography, explicit or age‑inappropriate material.
- Financial/investment schemes, unlicensed financial services, deceptive business opportunities.
- Hate, harassment, bullying, threats, or incitement to violence; discrimination based on protected classes.
- Deceptive/misleading/fraudulent content: bait‑and‑switch, fake reviews, false pricing/location.
- Abuse of the platform: malware, phishing, spam, mass messaging, SEO gaming.
- IP/privacy violations: copyright/trademark infringement; doxxing; posting others’ personal data without consent.
5) Content Quality & Accuracy
- Be accurate, clear, and complete about price, location, availability, terms, and limitations.
- Use a respectful, inclusive tone; avoid profanity, slurs, personal attacks.
- Post original media you have rights to; avoid misleading stock imagery.
- Mark edited/AI‑generated imagery when it could affect decisions (e.g., staged interiors).
6) Safety, Privacy & Due Diligence
- Never post private data (IDs, addresses, phone/email) without consent.
- Meet in safe public places; use secure payment methods; verify identity and documents independently.
- BudaBestLife does not broker or guarantee transactions; dealings are solely between users at their own risk.
7) Payments & Third Parties
- Unless explicitly stated, BudaBestLife does not process or hold funds.
- Links to third‑party sites or payment tools are at your own risk and governed by those providers’ terms.
8) Intellectual Property
- Post only content you own or are authorized to use; credit creators where appropriate.
- By posting UGC, you grant BudaBestLife a limited, worldwide, non‑exclusive license to host, display, and distribute your content solely to operate and promote the service.
9) Moderation & Enforcement
- We may review, label, reduce visibility, edit for clarity, or remove content at our discretion.
- Enforcement ladder: Warning → Content removal → Temporary suspension → Permanent ban → Referral to authorities for unlawful content.
- We may preserve data to investigate abuse, comply with legal requests, or protect users.
10) Reporting & Appeals
- Report violations: use the “Report” button or email support@budabestlife.com with URL, description, and any evidence.
- Appeal removals: reply to our notice within 7 days with context/corrections.
- We aim to review good‑faith reports and appeals promptly, subject to workload and legal obligations.
11) Housing, Services & Events — Specifics
- Housing: disclose total price, deposit, fees, neighborhood/area, term, and key conditions (pets, smoking, utilities).
- Services: disclose rates, scope, experience, and any required license/registration, plus cancellation terms.
- Events: include venue, time, price, any age limits, and refund policy.
12) Health, Immigration & Legal Content
- This site is educational only and does not provide legal, immigration, medical, or financial advice.
- Encourage users to seek qualified professional advice and verify government requirements independently.
13) Changes to These Standards
We may update this Policy. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. See the Effective date above for the latest version.
